Changsha: President Asif Ali Zardari has arrived in Changsha, the capital of Hunan province, marking the commencement of his week-long visit to China. His arrival underscores the deepening ties between Pakistan and China, with plans for discussions on bilateral relations and the signing of significant agreements.
According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari was greeted by Hu Xusheng, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress. The ambassadors of both nations were in attendance to welcome the President. This visit comes at the invitation of the Government of the People’s Republic of China and includes a subsequent stop in Sanya, Hainan Province.
During his time in China, President Zardari is expected to meet with provincial leaders to explore avenues for strengthening Pakistan-China relations. The visit will also see the signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding between the Sindh government and Chinese companies, signaling a commitment to enhanced cooperation in various sectors.
