Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended congratulations to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and the people of Algeria on their National Day. In a message, he highlighted the historical support Pakistan provided to Algeria during its struggle for independence and emphasized the enduring inspiration drawn from the Algerian people’s sacrifices.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari reaffirmed the commitment of both nations to uphold the principles of the United Nations Charter, including the sovereign equality of states and the right to self-determination. He underscored the importance of peaceful dispute resolution and reiterated the shared stance of Pakistan and Algeria in supporting the establishment of a Palestinian state, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
