Islamabad, October 16, 2022 (PPI-OT):President Dr Arif Alvi has upheld a decision of the Banking Mohtasib and directed the Silk Bank to refund 200,000 rupees to the bank account of a fraud victim. According to details, he also directed the bank to pay the remaining profit till the date the amount is credited in victim’s bank account as SBL had committed maladministration by failing to appoint honest officials at its bank branch and unjustly withheld the profit amount. The President gave these directions while rejecting a representation of SBL against a decision of Banking Mohtasib.
