President Emphasizes Public Welfare and Economic Stability in Upcoming Budget

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has highlighted the importance of public welfare and economic stability in the forthcoming budget, underscoring the need to provide relief to the economically weaker segments of society. The remarks were made during a pre-budget consultative meeting chaired by the President in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting focused on the overall economic situation in the country, along with development priorities and several proposals concerning public welfare. The discussions aimed to shape the budget in a manner that addresses the needs of the public while ensuring economic resilience.

The meeting was attended by prominent political and economic figures including Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Member of National Assembly Syed Naveed Qamar, Senator Sherry Rehman, Senator Saleem Mandviwala, Dr. Asim Hussain, Dr. Tauqeer Shah, and the Secretary of Finance. Their presence signified the collaborative effort to devise strategies for economic advancement and public support in the upcoming fiscal plan.
