President Alvi Advocates for Inclusivity of Persons with Disabilities in Pakistan

Islamabad, 03 Dec 2023: On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, President Dr. Arif Alvi has called for concerted efforts from government organizations and civil society to enhance the inclusion of persons with disabilities in all aspects of life in Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Alvi emphasized the need for creating an enabling environment that supports persons with disabilities. He advocated for providing inclusive education, healthcare facilities, and employment opportunities that cater to their skills and abilities. Additionally, he stressed the importance of implementing job quotas for persons with disabilities.

President Alvi reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to removing societal barriers that hinder the progress of persons with disabilities, marking a step towards a more inclusive and equitable society. This commitment aligns with global efforts to ensure equal opportunities and accessibility for all individuals, regardless of their disabilities.
