Karachi: Under the administration of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), the city’s largest Eid-ul-Fitr congregation will be held at Gulshan-e-Jinnah (Polo Ground), and arrangements for the event have begun. According to KMC spokesperson Daniyal Siyal, extensive preparations are being made this year for Eid prayers. It is expected that the Governor of Sindh Nehal Hashmi, Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad, diplomats from various Islamic countries, current and former federal and provincial ministers, members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, the Municipal Commissioner Karachi, provincial secretaries, members of the City Council, leaders of various political and social organizations, and a large number of citizens will offer Eid prayers at the Polo Ground.

On this occasion, flags of Islamic countries will be displayed at the Eidgah, arrangements for ablution (wudu) will be made for worshippers, fragrance will be sprayed, and special measures will be taken for cleanliness and security. A flower-decorated gate will also be set up at the main entrance to welcome citizens on Eid day. The Eid-ul-Fitr congregation at the Polo Ground has been held regularly since 1958.
