Islamabad: The Power Division has issued a clarification concerning the implementation of the Peak Hours Relief Strategy, emphasizing that no load management is being conducted in the regions served by HESCO (Hyderabad Electric Supply Company) and K-Electric under the 2.25-hour peak hours relief plan.
According to Press Information Department, the decision is attributed to the availability of low-cost power generation in the southern region, which ensures a steady supply to these two distribution companies. The spokesperson highlighted that furnace oil-based generation has minimal impact in these areas due to the availability of sufficient electricity from alternative sources. Consequently, the electricity supplied to HESCO and K-Electric negates the need to impose the peak hours strategy on consumers, thereby preventing unnecessary inconvenience.
