Power Division Clarifies No Load Management for HESCO and K-Electric Under Peak Hours Relief Plan

HYDERABAD: The Power Division has clarified that no load management is being implemented in the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) and K-Electric regions under the Peak Hours Relief Strategy. This decision is attributed to the availability of low-cost power generation in the southern region, which allows for consistent electricity supply to these distribution companies.

According to Ministry of Energy, the statement highlighted that furnace oil-based power generation does not significantly affect the HESCO and K-Electric areas due to the availability of alternative energy sources in the south. Consequently, electricity generated from these sources is primarily directed to HESCO and K-Electric, ensuring that consumers in these regions are not subjected to the inconvenience of load shedding under the relief plan.

The Power Division spokesperson emphasized that this measure is intended to prevent unnecessary disruptions for consumers in the southern region, where the current energy supply is deemed sufficient to meet demand without resorting to the peak hours strategy.
