ISLAMABAD: A high-level delegation from Poland recently visited the National Emergencies Operations Centre (NEOC) at the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in Islamabad. The visit aimed to enhance bilateral cooperation in disaster management strategies and emphasize the importance of addressing climate change-related risks.
According to Radio Pakistan, the team from NDMA provided a detailed presentation on the capabilities of NEOC, highlighting Pakistan’s advancements in proactive disaster management systems. These systems are designed to mitigate the risks of recurring disasters. Both parties stressed the need to strengthen institutional linkages and promote collaboration to tackle the emerging challenges posed by climate change and complex disasters.
