Lahore: The Pakistan Police Sports Board’s annual inter-district games continue to captivate audiences with thrilling Kabaddi matches, as directed by IG Punjab Abdul Kareem. The recent competitions held at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh in Lahore featured teams from various police units competing for top honors, with the Sports Wing Lahore team clinching first place and the General Duty Lahore team securing second.
According to Punjab Police, these events are part of a broader initiative led by Abdul Kareem, who serves as the President of the All Pakistan Police Sports Board. The aim is to promote teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness within the police force. Participants who exhibit exceptional performance in these games are considered for selection to the Pakistan Police Kabaddi Team, as part of efforts to enhance the police’s national image. Abdul Kareem expressed commendation for the players’ efforts and underscored the role of sports in developing professional capabilities among police personnel.
