Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem engaged directly with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office to address their concerns and issued directives for immediate action. According to Punjab Police, IG Punjab focused on resolving various issues brought forth by the employees and their families, including recruitment, transfers, reappointments, and financial assistance.
During the meeting, several specific requests were addressed. The case for the recruitment of the son of deceased ASI Muhammad Hanif was forwarded for consideration to Additional IG Punjab. Similarly, the transfer request of DSP Saleem Akbar Khan was directed to the DIG Headquarters for relief. In response to the reappointment request of former psychologist Miss Aqsa Safdar, instructions were given to Additional IG Training for further review.
Financial assistance for the son of deceased Constable Iftikhar Ahmad was also prioritized, with directions issued to Additional IG Welfare and Finance. Concerns regarding the seniority of Sub-Inspector Syed Zafar Hussain were addressed by instructing the DIG Establishment-I to take necessary actions. Other matters included recruitment requests, transfer requests, and promotion considerations, with appropriate directions issued to the relevant officers to ensure swift resolution.
IG Punjab Abdul Kareem reaffirmed his commitment to addressing issues related to discipline, administration, promotion, and welfare, ensuring that the police force receives the necessary support and attention to their concerns.
