ISLAMABAD: Following directives from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, extensive search and combing operations were conducted across multiple jurisdictions in the federal capital to enhance security and curb criminal activities. These operations resulted in the thorough checking of 2,679 individuals and a sweep through 1,113 houses, 338 shops, 98 hotels, 958 motorcycles, and 356 vehicles.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were supervised by zonal SPs and led to the detention of four Afghan nationals residing illegally, 88 suspicious individuals, and the impounding of 74 motorcycles for further legal proceedings. SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, stated that these efforts aim to fortify security measures against criminal elements and reinforce the city’s security framework. The police have committed to continuing their crackdown on criminals, land grabbers, and drug traffickers.
SSP Raza also called on citizens to support the police by promptly reporting any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15”.
