Attaullah Tarar Acknowledges Christian Community’s Role in Pakistan’s Development


Lahore: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has praised the Christian community for their crucial contributions to Pakistan’s establishment, growth, and defense. According to Radio Pakistan, during an Easter event in Lahore, Tarar emphasized the significant impact of the Christian community, noting that their efforts will be honored in the nation’s history.



The Minister highlighted the sacrifices made by minority community members in the armed forces’ fight against terrorism. He also acknowledged the Christian community’s efforts in advancing education across the country as a notable contribution worthy of recognition.



Addressing current national challenges arising from regional conflicts and their global effects, Tarar conveyed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s assurance that the government remains committed to supporting citizens in these trying times. He detailed government initiatives, including subsidies on petroleum products for motorbike owners, public transport operators, and goods transporters, as well as free public transport services in Islamabad and Punjab, aimed at mitigating public burdens.



The Minister reaffirmed the federal government’s awareness of the public’s hardships and its dedication to providing relief through all possible measures.
