Lahore: The Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has initiated an immediate response following the murder of a lady constable in the Harbanspura area, demanding rapid action to bring the perpetrators to justice. According to Punjab Police announcement issued on 24 September 2024, Dr. Usman Anwar has demanded a comprehensive report from the Chief of City Police Office Lahore on the recent killing. The police chief has also directed the Deputy Inspector General of Operations in Lahore to oversee the swift arrest of the accused involved in this heinous crime. Emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation, Dr. Anwar instructed that all available resources, including Safe City camera footage, be utilized to track down the culprits and provide quick justice for the victim’s family.
