PM Vows to Transform Nation’s Future, Surpass India


Dera Ghazi Khan: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has voiced a strong commitment to transforming the future of the nation through collaborative efforts, with an aim to surpass neighboring India.



According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister addressed a public gathering in Dera Ghazi Khan, emphasizing the coordinated efforts of federal and provincial governments to steer the country onto a path of progress.



The Prime Minister noted that the economy has stabilized over the past year. He underscored the importance of bolstering sectors such as agriculture and industry to enhance exports and generate employment opportunities for millions.



In support of these sectors, the Prime Minister announced a reduction in electricity tariffs. He also highlighted a decrease in the inflation rate from 40% to 2.4% and a reduction in the policy rate from 22% to 12%.



Sharif stressed the necessity of peace to achieve developmental goals and acknowledged the sacrifices of security personnel in the fight against terrorism.



He assured that South Punjab would not be neglected in developmental initiatives and announced plans for a cancer hospital in Dera Ghazi Khan and a university in Rajan Pur.
