Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing its relations with Azerbaijan. During a farewell meeting with Ambassador Khazar Farhadov of Azerbaijan in Islamabad, the Prime Minister acknowledged the ambassador’s efforts in reinforcing bilateral ties.
According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif praised Ambassador Farhadov’s role in expanding cooperation between the two nations, covering areas such as politics, trade, economy, defense, culture, and people-to-people exchanges. Notably, the introduction of direct flights between Pakistan and Azerbaijan was highlighted as a significant achievement during Farhadov’s tenure.
The Prime Minister expressed optimism that the groundwork laid by Ambassador Farhadov would continue to influence the relationship between the two countries positively. Ambassador Farhadov, reflecting on his diplomatic mission in Pakistan, described it as a memorable period and emphasized Azerbaijan’s ongoing dedication to its strategic partnership with Pakistan.
