PM Shehbaz Reaffirms Commitment to Advance CPEC-II with Focus on Key Sectors


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to advancing the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), prioritizing agriculture, industrial cooperation, and key infrastructure projects. In a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, the Prime Minister expressed appreciation for China’s steadfast economic support to Pakistan.



According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions also covered Pakistan’s role in promoting regional stability and the importance of continued coordination on mutual interests. Prime Minister Sharif underscored the enduring Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.



During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif congratulated the Chinese leadership on the successful conclusion of the “Two Sessions” and extended gratitude to President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and Foreign Minister Wang Yi for their greetings on Pakistan Day. Ambassador Jiang commended Pakistan’s economic resilience and reform efforts, reaffirming China’s support in trade and investment.



Both parties expressed satisfaction with ongoing exchanges and anticipated high-level engagements to celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.
