Islamabad Police Arrest 54 Outlaws, Seize Drugs and Weapons


ISLAMABAD: In a significant operation, the Islamabad Police have apprehended 54 individuals involved in various criminal activities, confiscating illegal drugs and weapons in the process.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, teams from the Kohsar, Ramna, Tarnol, Noon, Humak, and Lohi Bher police stations were instrumental in the arrest of 11 suspects linked to different crimes. The operations led to the recovery of 1,210 grams of heroin, 230 grams of ice, and six pistols with ammunition, with cases filed against the accused as investigations continue.



Additionally, as part of a targeted campaign to apprehend proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams successfully detained 43 criminals. This initiative aligns with the directives from IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as the department intensifies its efforts to maintain peace and security in the federal capital.



SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, reiterated the police force’s commitment to safeguarding residents’ lives and property, emphasizing that no disruption to public peace will be tolerated. Residents are encouraged to report suspicious activities promptly to local police stations or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to bolster the collaborative effort between the community and law enforcement in combating crime.
