Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif engaged in a telephone conversation with President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to exchange Eid ul-Adha greetings and discuss bilateral cooperation. The discussion reinforced the strong ties between the two nations, focusing on enhancing trade and investment relations and regional peace initiatives.
According to Radio Pakistan, the leaders recalled their recent meeting in Antalya and agreed to expedite the implementation of key decisions made during high-level meetings. The conversation also included an exchange of views on regional peace efforts, with Prime Minister Sharif expressing gratitude for Türkiye’s support of Pakistan’s peace initiatives. President Erdogan extended condolences for the recent train bombing in Balochistan, affirming Türkiye’s support in combating terrorism. Both leaders pledged to continue working towards regional stability through dialogue and de-escalation efforts.
