Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif engaged in a telephone conversation with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt, highlighting Egypt’s contributions to peace in the Middle East and expressing mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the call, Prime Minister Sharif extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to President El-Sisi and the people of Egypt, with President El-Sisi returning the sentiments to the Pakistani people. The conversation also covered both nations’ shared concerns over the situation in Iran and the Gulf region, with both leaders agreeing on the importance of continued diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and restoring peace and normalcy.

The Prime Minister expressed appreciation for Egypt’s diplomatic efforts in regional and international matters, emphasizing its role in promoting peace in the Middle East. Both leaders reiterated their commitment to enhancing cooperation across areas of mutual interest.
