Parliamentary Caucus on Child Rights Urges Balochistan to Establish Dedicated Platform

Islamabad: Members of Pakistan’s Parliamentary Caucus on Child Rights convened with Balochistan Assembly Speaker Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai to address urgent child rights issues in Balochistan and across the nation. The meeting at Parliament House focused on establishing a dedicated platform to tackle challenges such as child labor, abuse, and education access.

Led by Dr. Nikhat Shakeel Khan, the caucus emphasized the need for a Child Rights Caucus in the Balochistan Assembly. The discussions underscored the importance of coordinated efforts to address polio eradication, stunted growth, and the high number of out-of-school children.

Speaker Achakzai responded positively, committing to the formation of a Child Rights Caucus in the provincial assembly. This move aims to enhance child rights protection and aligns with the national caucus’s goals.

The Parliamentary Caucus on Child Rights reiterated its dedication to collaborating with provincial bodies and stakeholders to safeguard children’s rights in Pakistan.
