Islamabad: Members of Parliament and the Federal Cabinet have expressed strong support for the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, a strategic alliance among Pakistan, Türkiye, and Saudi Arabia. In a series of video statements, they described the agreement as a significant step toward ensuring long-term peace in the region and highlighted the unified stance of the three nations.

According to Radio Pakistan, the agreement has been lauded as a testament to the commitment of Pakistan, Türkiye, and Saudi Arabia to stand together. Tributes were paid to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their pivotal roles in facilitating the accord. Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal noted that the agreement would bolster efforts to maintain peace, while Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar termed it a milestone in the trilateral partnership.

Minister for Power Sardar Awais Leghari commented that the shared determination of the three countries would serve as a deterrent against potential threats. Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja emphasized the role of leadership in uniting nations. Other parliamentarians, including Ali Pervez Malik, Tariq Fazal Chaudhary, and Rana Sanaullah Khan, echoed these sentiments, affirming the agreement’s potential to strengthen ties among the involved countries.

The agreement also received praise from other figures such as Romina Khursheed Alam, Khael Das Kohistani, and Daniyal Chaudhary, among others, who acknowledged its importance in fostering regional stability and cooperation.
