RIYADH: A high-level Pakistani delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, is set to participate in a crucial meeting of the Strategic Political and Defence Committee in Riyadh. This meeting, formed under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, aims to address regional developments and evaluate ongoing cooperative efforts.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting will also host the Foreign Affairs and Defence Ministers, along with the Chiefs of General Staff from Saudi Arabia and Türkiye. The agenda includes discussions on the current situation in the region, as well as a review of the collaborative initiatives under the Makkah Agreement framework.
The foreign office highlighted that Pakistan’s involvement in this assembly underscores its commitment to fostering peace and stability in the region.
