ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Minister for Information Technology, Shaza Fatima, has stated that the country’s tech industry is experiencing significant growth, driven by the talent and potential of its youthful workforce. During her visit to Huawei’s Global Service Center in Islamabad, she emphasized the competitive edge of Pakistan’s IT talent in terms of both cost and quality.

According to Radio Pakistan, Shaza Fatima highlighted the increasing contribution of the IT sector to the services industry, noting its importance as a key pillar of the national economy and a vital source of foreign exchange earnings. She pointed out that the country’s IT exports are expanding at an annual rate of approximately twenty percent. The Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to reaching the IT export target of twenty-five billion dollars as set by the Prime Minister.

Further emphasizing the longstanding bilateral relations between Pakistan and China, Shaza Fatima expressed optimism about Huawei’s continued expansion and investment in Pakistan, underscoring the potential for strengthened economic and technological ties between the two nations.
