WASHINGTON: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, underscored the nation’s contributions to global peace and security at the Fourth Annual Pak-US Conference held at Georgetown University. He emphasized the trust placed in Pakistan by both parties involved in current conflicts and other regional countries, marking it as a significant achievement.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Sheikh highlighted Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, particularly in the context of the US-Iran conflict, and stressed the country’s commitment to playing its role with sincerity and responsibility. He noted that Pakistan is shifting its focus towards geo-economics in foreign policy, positioning itself as a pivotal economic corridor linking China, Central Asia, and the Gulf states.
Despite challenges from its eastern and western borders, Ambassador Sheikh stated that Pakistan has consistently contributed to regional and global peace efforts. He reiterated Pakistan’s longstanding commitment to facilitating peace and security worldwide, drawing on its successful diplomatic history.
