New York: Pakistan is taking on a significant global role in promoting digital finance, according to Bilal Bin Saqib, the Minister of State and Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority. Speaking at a side event focused on social business, youth, and technology during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Bin Saqib emphasized the country’s contributions to the evolving landscape of digital finance.
According to Radio Pakistan, Bin Saqib underscored the importance of involving the Global South in decision-making processes within the technology sector. He stressed that these regions should not remain passive consumers but instead become active participants in shaping the future of technology. His comments reflect Pakistan’s broader ambitions to assert itself as a key player in the global digital finance arena.
