Pakistan’s Role as Peace-Maker Acknowledged by Deputy Prime Minister

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar announced that Pakistan is gaining recognition as a peace-maker and a net security provider in the region, attributing this status to the country’s mediation efforts between the United States and Iran.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dar addressed the National Assembly, emphasizing that these diplomatic efforts have contributed to saving hundreds of thousands of lives. He highlighted Pakistan’s position as an honest and sincere mediator in the negotiations between the US and Iran, underlining the nation’s commitment to peace.

Deputy Prime Minister Dar detailed Pakistan’s contributions to peace, including its involvement in negotiations held in Switzerland. He also acknowledged the instrumental roles played by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in advancing these peace efforts. Additionally, Dar noted the economic advantages emerging from the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, specifically pointing to the decline in petroleum product prices as a direct benefit.
