Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to facilitate dialogue between Iran and the United States, emphasizing the country’s role in fostering negotiations. According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister made these remarks during a meeting with Foreign Minister of Turkiye Hakan Fidan and Foreign Minister of Egypt Dr. Badr Abdelatty in Islamabad.

The discussions highlighted Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to bring about an end to hostilities affecting Iran and other Muslim countries. Prime Minister Sharif underscored the importance of collective efforts to halt the ongoing conflict, which has resulted in significant loss of life and economic damage.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif extended his greetings to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, referencing his recent conversations with them. The visiting foreign ministers provided insights into their nations’ perspectives on the Middle Eastern conflict, expressing appreciation for Pakistan’s constructive role in peace efforts.

Also present at the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, National Security Adviser Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik, SAPM Tariq Fatemi, and Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch. The foreign ministers commended the leadership of Prime Minister Sharif, the Deputy Prime Minister, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir during this challenging period.
