Pakistan’s Exports to U.S. Surge by 10.4% in First Eight Months of FY25

Islamabad: Pakistan’s exports to the United States have risen by 10.4% in the first eight months of the fiscal year 2025, according to official data. The increase is part of a broader 9.7% rise in exports to North America, bringing the total to 4.2 billion dollars.

The majority of these exports, approximately 94%, consisted of textiles and garments. This underscores the textile sector’s pivotal role in Pakistan’s export economy.

Improved trade facilitation under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and heightened demand for Pakistani products in the U.S. are credited with driving this growth.

Significant government reforms in trade policy, bolstered by SIFC’s support, have been integral to this upward trend.

The increase in exports is seen as a promising development for Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves and the revitalization of its export sector.
