Pakistan’s Deputy PM Calls on UN to Resolve Kashmir Dispute, Condemns Israeli Actions in Gaza


Islamabad, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, has appealed to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to actively engage in resolving the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in line with UN Security Council resolutions and to address the crisis in Gaza.



According to Kashmir Media Service, Dar met with Guterres on the sidelines of a high-level conference on Gaza in Jordan, where he praised the UN’s efforts in organizing the conference alongside Jordan and Egypt. During their discussion, Dar highlighted the urgent need for humanitarian support for Palestine and reiterated Pakistan’s strong condemnation of Israel’s actions against Palestinian civilians.



Dar urged the UN to push for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza, ensure the provision of humanitarian aid, facilitate the return of displaced Palestinians, and hold accountable those responsible for what he described as war crimes and crimes against humanity in the region.
