Pakistan’s Defence Production Minister Lauds Industry’s Contributions and Progress


Rawalpindi, In a recent visit to the Ministry of Defence Production, Federal Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif commended the pivotal role and achievements of Pakistan’s defence industrial sector, highlighting its contributions to the nation’s defense modernization and economic stability through foreign exchange earnings.



According to Press Information Department, the Minister was welcomed by Secretary Defence Production Lt Gen (Retd) Muhammad Chiragh Haider and was introduced to the ministry’s key officials. An extensive briefing outlined the ministry’s structure and the dynamic functions of its executive departments, emphasizing the strategic importance of defense production in national security and development.



During the visit, Minister Asif acknowledged the defense industry’s significant impact beyond its primary military purpose, noting its positive influence on the social sector and economic growth. He specifically praised the industry’s success in generating crucial foreign exchange, underscoring the sector’s contribution to Pakistan’s economic resilience.



Furthermore, the Minister underscored the government’s commitment to fostering the advancement of the defense production industry.
