Pakistan’s 86th National Day Marked with Ceremony in Singapore


Singapore: A flag-hoisting ceremony took place at Pakistan House in Singapore to commemorate the 86th National Day of Pakistan, observed on March 23, 2026. The event was conducted in a simple and dignified manner due to the current situation in the Middle East. Attendees included members of the Pakistani community, officials from the High Commission, and their families.



According to Press Information Department, High Commissioner Rabia Shafiq led the ceremony by hoisting the national flag as the National Anthem played. She read messages from Pakistan’s President and Prime Minister and highlighted the historical significance of March 23. The High Commissioner honored the struggle and leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, whose 150th Birth Anniversary is being celebrated this year with various activities. She urged the community to uphold national ideals and keep the Pakistani flag flying high.



The High Commissioner praised the resilience of Pakistanis and their ability to overcome challenges through unity. She acknowledged the overseas Pakistani community for their role as cultural ambassadors and contributors to the national economy via remittances. The ceremony concluded with prayers for global peace and the security, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan.
