Beijing: The Pakistan Embassy in Beijing commemorated the nation’s National Day with an official flag-hoisting ceremony attended by Embassy staff, the Pakistani diaspora, and their families.

According to Press Information Department, the event featured Ambassador of Pakistan to China, H.E. Mr. Khalil Hashmi, who hoisted the national flag and delivered remarks. During the ceremony, messages from the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Pakistan were presented to the attendees.

Ambassador Hashmi congratulated the Pakistani community in China, emphasizing the enduring principles of Unity, Faith, and Discipline as outlined by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. These principles were highlighted as essential for pursuing national development and security goals.

The Ambassador reflected on the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and China, noting the significance of 2026 as a milestone marking 75 years of diplomatic relations. He emphasized the Embassy’s dedication to attracting investments in 21 key sectors, aligning with national priorities, and leveraging Technical and Vocational Education and Training resources from China. The focus on fostering educational, research, and business opportunities, along with developments in science and technology, frontier industries, agriculture, and cultural exchanges, was also underscored. The ceremony concluded with prayers for Pakistan’s peace, progress, and prosperity.
