ISLAMABAD: A delegation from the Senate of Pakistan attended the 17th Wroxton Workshop in the United Kingdom, where they reiterated the country’s dedication to democratic governance, parliamentary oversight, and international cooperation.

According to Senate of Pakistan, the delegation included Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri, Senator Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman, Senator Jam Saifullah Khan, and Senator Maulana Atta-ul-Haq. They represented Pakistan at the forum, which brought together parliamentarians, policymakers, constitutional experts, and academics from around the world.

During the workshop, the Pakistani delegates discussed the nation’s parliamentary practices, legislative reforms, and efforts to fortify democratic institutions. The discussions centered on themes such as legislative oversight, transparency, accountability, and the integration of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence into parliamentary processes.

The delegation highlighted that engaging in international parliamentary forums facilitates institutional learning, the exchange of best practices, and parliamentary diplomacy. They underscored Pakistan’s commitment to transparent, inclusive, and accountable governance.
