Pakistani Senate Delegation Engages in Global Legislative Discussions in UK


LONDON: A delegation from the Senate of Pakistan participated in the 17th Wroxton Workshop held in the United Kingdom, where international parliamentarians and scholars convened to discuss parliamentary oversight, democratic governance, and contemporary legislative challenges.



According to the Senate of Pakistan, the delegation included Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri, Senator Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman, Senator Jam Saifullah Khan, and Senator Maulana Atta-ul-Haq. The two-day forum gathered legislators, academic scholars, and constitutional experts globally to deliberate on modern governance challenges, legislative oversight, and democratic accountability. During the plenary sessions, the Pakistani delegation engaged in dialogues, sharing perspectives on legislative practices. Discussions focused on enhancing parliamentary transparency, reinforcing public trust, and adapting to technological innovations, including ethical oversight of artificial intelligence within parliamentary frameworks.
