New York: In a significant diplomatic engagement, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan attended a ceremony last night celebrating the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh’s membership in the United Nations. The event, hosted by Bangladesh’s Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, also saw the participation of several key members of the Pakistani government.
According to Press Information Department, the ceremony was a platform for both nations to explore avenues for enhanced bilateral cooperation. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was accompanied by Minister for Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
