London: A dignified ceremony was held at the Pakistan High Commission in London to honor overseas Pakistanis residing in the United Kingdom with Civil Awards. The event saw attendance from award recipients and their families, officers of the High Commission, notable figures from the Pakistani community, and media representatives.

According to High Commission For Pakistan – United Kingdom, the Acting High Commissioner, Mr. Haseeb Bin Aziz, officiated the ceremony on behalf of the President of Pakistan. The Sitare-i-Imtiaz was awarded to Mr. Fukhera (Frank) Khalid for his contributions to business and entrepreneurship. Mr. Khalid, a prominent businessman in the UK, has ventures in retail, restaurants, and a film studio, along with significant investments in Pakistan. He is also noted for his philanthropic efforts supporting charities in Pakistan.

The Tamgha-i-Imtiaz was awarded to Dr. Irfan Malik for his contributions to neurosurgery, particularly in spine surgery. Dr. Malik, a neurosurgeon at Kings College Hospital in London, is recognized for performing the highest number of endoscopic spine surgeries in the UK and his involvement with healthcare charities aiding Pakistan.

Both Mr. Khalid and Dr. Malik expressed gratitude to the Government of Pakistan for the recognition and reiterated their commitment to enhancing relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
