Pakistani Finance Minister and Ambassador to China Discuss Economic Cooperation

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Finance Minister, Muhammad Aurangzeb, met with the country’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, to discuss the enhancement of economic cooperation between Pakistan and China, with a focus on investment promotion and strengthening bilateral financial ties.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting, which took place in Islamabad, highlighted the efforts of Ambassador Hashmi in advancing Pakistan’s economic diplomacy in China. The Finance Minister acknowledged the proactive role of the Pakistani Embassy in facilitating investment partnerships between businesses from both nations.

Minister Aurangzeb underscored the importance of attracting quality investment, increasing exports, and fostering collaboration within the private sector as key elements of the government’s economic strategy. Ambassador Hashmi provided an update on ongoing discussions with leading Chinese financial institutions and development partners, reflecting the ongoing commitment to strengthening economic partnerships.
