Islamabad: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of the Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, led the Pakistani Armed Forces in commemorating the 68th anniversary of Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed’s martyrdom. The event honored Major Tufail’s commitment to duty and his ultimate sacrifice for the nation.
According to Inter Services Public Relations, Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed displayed exceptional bravery during a critical assault against enemy forces. Despite severe injuries, he continued to lead his troops with determination, ensuring mission success. His gallantry and supreme sacrifice were recognized with the award of Nishan-e-Haider, Pakistan’s highest military honor.
The commemoration also served as a tribute from the people and Armed Forces of Pakistan to Major Tufail and all martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the country. Their acts of bravery and patriotism remain a source of inspiration for current and future generations, embodying the spirit of national defense.
