New York: Pakistan’s youth delegation actively participated in the UN ECOSOC Youth Forum 2026, which took place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Nominated by the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, the delegation emphasized the importance of expanding youth participation in governance, increasing investment in education and employment, and enhancing youth leadership in peacebuilding and climate action.

According to Radio Pakistan, the delegation engaged in various activities over the three-day forum. They took part in plenary sessions, contributed to thematic and side events, moderated discussions in parallel sessions, and conducted bilateral and multilateral meetings with key stakeholders. Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, highlighted the significance of the delegation’s involvement in the forum, noting that it facilitated the inclusion of Pakistan’s youth in global development discussions and supported youth-led solutions for sustainable development both domestically and internationally.
