New York: Pakistan has voiced its concern over ongoing ceasefire violations and the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza. At an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, emphasized that the efforts of international bodies and non-governmental organizations are being compromised by the actions of occupation authorities.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Ambassador stressed the necessity of guaranteeing immediate and unhindered humanitarian access in Gaza. He urged that all border crossings, including Rafah, be opened and maintained for the delivery of aid, commercial goods, and medical evacuations. Furthermore, the Ambassador called for the lifting of the blockade imposed on Gaza and insisted that attacks on humanitarian and medical personnel must end immediately, along with any unlawful detentions.
