New York: Pakistan has called for the cessation of illegal occupation of Arab territories, adherence to ceasefires, and the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid in the Middle East. According to Radio Pakistan, these remarks were made by the Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, during an open debate on advancing Political Solutions in the Middle East held in New York.
The Ambassador emphasized Pakistan’s support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, political independence, and security of Middle Eastern countries. He also reiterated Pakistan’s continued support and solidarity with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries during these challenging times.
Ambassador Ahmad further stated that Pakistan remains actively engaged in promoting the Gaza Peace Plan and facilitating dialogue and mediation efforts aimed at easing tensions between the United States and Iran.
