Islamabad: A meeting chaired by Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema unveiled the Prime Minister’s Office System (PMOS), a new AI-powered platform intended to improve governance, coordination, and monitoring of government initiatives. The system aims to connect federal ministries with the Prime Minister’s Office through a centralized digital platform to enhance transparency and efficiency.
According to Press Information Department, the meeting featured a demonstration by the Pakistan Digital Authority, highlighting PMOS’s capabilities for real-time task monitoring and its automated alert mechanism. This tool is expected to ensure timely execution of government directives. Additionally, a sovereign AI-based GPT-powered research system was introduced to assist government officers with internal research and task completion.
Minister Cheema commended the Pakistan Digital Authority’s work and emphasized the PMOS’s role in advancing digital governance, aiming to improve public service delivery and inter-ministerial coordination. He noted that Pakistan is progressing towards a connected, efficient digital ecosystem, with initiatives like digital tax enforcement systems contributing to public sector modernization. The meeting concluded with a commitment to enhancing service delivery and accountability through digital technologies.
