ISLAMABAD: Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar announced the government’s commitment to fully utilizing all available resources for women empowerment. He addressed a news conference following the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women, where Pakistan was honored to assume the chairmanship of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Ministerial Conference on Women for the next two years.
According to Radio Pakistan, the conference concluded with OIC member states collectively reaffirming their commitment to implementing measures that promote the social, political, and economic empowerment of women across the Islamic world. The participating nations resolved to enhance women’s access to modern innovations to enable them to contribute more effectively to their respective countries.
Assistant Secretary General of the OIC, Ambassador Tariq Ali, expressed confidence in Pakistan’s potential to achieve more in the area of women empowerment under its new leadership role in the organization.
