ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has expressed its willingness to collaborate with member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to advance women’s empowerment through digital initiatives. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, the Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, emphasized the country’s commitment to transforming ideas into pilot projects and concrete platforms to support this cause.

According to Radio Pakistan, Khawaja, while addressing the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women in Islamabad, highlighted Pakistan’s readiness to share its experiences and learn from other OIC member states. She also mentioned the country’s interest in acquiring technology to bolster efforts in empowering women within the digital and information technology sectors.

Khawaja stated that Pakistan is dedicated to ensuring that every girl has access to connectivity and can manage a secure digital identity and financial account, reflecting the nation’s broader goals of digital inclusion and empowerment.
