ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, announced that the country is actively conducting operations against militant hideouts within Afghanistan, relying on precise intelligence. The operations, he emphasized, are focused solely on dismantling terrorist infrastructure and support networks, without targeting civilian areas.

According to Radio Pakistan, Tarar addressed claims made by the Afghan Taliban government, dismissing them as unfounded. He critiqued the Afghan Ministry of Defense’s statements about battlefield victories over Pakistan, describing them as mere propaganda. Furthermore, Tarar refuted reports from both the Afghan Taliban regime and the United Nations Mission in Afghanistan that suggested there were civilian casualties due to Pakistan’s operations.

Tarar also highlighted the UN agency based in Kabul, noting that its information is entirely dependent on the Afghan Taliban government. He pointed out a collaboration between the Afghan Taliban and the terrorist group Fitna al-Khawarij, suggesting a nexus between the Afghan Taliban government and various terrorist organizations operating from Afghan soil. Pakistan, he asserted, has responded promptly and effectively to attacks from the Afghan Taliban regime, accurately targeting terrorist groups and their supporters, including Afghan Taliban military bases.
