Pakistan Signs Tripartite Agreement to Boost Olive Sector

Islamabad: Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) has entered into a tripartite cooperation agreement aimed at promoting and developing the olive sector in the country. The agreement, signed by Dr. Syed Murtaza Hassan Andrabi, Chairman of PARC, involves collaboration with the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies- Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of BARI and the Olive Growers Association (Pvt) Ltd. in TALASH, Lower Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to Pakistan Agricultural Research Council, the agreement was formalized at PARC headquarters in Islamabad. This partnership is expected to enhance the olive industry’s growth in Pakistan through shared resources and expertise. The collaboration is designed to leverage international agronomic studies and local olive-growing knowledge to advance agricultural practices and boost production.
