Pakistan Sends High-Level Delegation to Honor Iran’s Supreme Leader


Tehran: A high-ranking Pakistani delegation recently participated in a ceremony in Tehran to honor Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. The event underscored the enduring relationship between Pakistan and Iran, according to statements made by Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Iranian Ambassador emphasized the significance of the delegation’s presence as a testament to the strong bonds between the two nations. The delegation included Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and other senior officials and cultural figures. Ambassador Moghadam expressed gratitude for their participation, highlighting the shared values and historic ties that unite Pakistan and Iran.



In a post on X, Dr. Moghadam conveyed his appreciation for the solidarity expressed by the Pakistani officials, religious scholars, and political figures during the ceremony. He described the occasion as both meaningful and historic, reflecting the mutual respect and friendship that have persisted between the two countries through various challenges and achievements over the years.
