Islamabad: Pakistan is experiencing a notable increase in business activity, marked by a record rise in the registration of new companies. In February alone, 3,444 new companies were registered, signaling a growing interest from both local and international investors.
According to Radio Pakistan, this influx of new registrations has elevated the total number of registered companies in the country to 287,049. Among the newly registered firms, 82 companies involve foreign investors, with China and the United States standing out as key contributors to this growth.
Global investors are showing interest in sectors such as mining, trade, and IT, underscoring the importance of Pakistan’s natural resources and its burgeoning digital economy. Finance Minister’s Advisor Khurram Schehzad noted that 19 major global companies, including BYD, Google, and Aramco, have invested in Pakistan over the past 15 months, reflecting the country’s growing appeal as a business destination.
