ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has dismissed as baseless the recent statement by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs regarding Islamabad’s actions against terrorist infrastructure in Afghanistan. The announcement came from Tahir Andrabi, the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to queries about India’s comments.

According to Radio Pakistan, Andrabi characterized India’s statement as a continuation of a pattern of interference in the sovereignty and territorial integrity of neighboring countries, actions that he claims contravene the UN Charter. He also criticized India’s ongoing suppression of the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, citing violations of relevant UN resolutions.

Andrabi further alleged that India has been supporting terrorist groups operating from Afghan soil against Pakistan, which he claims violates UN Security Council sanctions. He urged that India’s accusations against Pakistan should not be taken seriously.

The spokesperson affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding the safety and security of its citizens, emphasizing that the country would continue to act in accordance with international law.
